About Me

Hey there! I'm Amanda.

I'm a housewife, stay at home mama to one little girl, psychologist, and therapeutic riding instructor living outside of Rochester, NY with two spoiled papillons, and two crazy cats.

So a little more about me.

I was born and raised in central New York, immersed in an engaging equestrian lifestyle. I graduated from high school a year early and attended a bridging year program called The Clarkson School. I continued my education at Clarkson University where I developed a passion for watching hockey. I finished college with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, a Concentration in Health Psychology, and a Minor in History.

I'm also a Certified Riding Instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, otherwise known as PATH International. Their goal and mine is that of "ensuring excellence and changing lives through equine-assisted activities and therapies".  I love teaching, and I love introducing those with challenging lives to the freedom and love horses can bring to us.

My idea of a perfect day is waking up with a good hot breakfast including an amazing cup of coffee.
An afternoon spending time with a friend getting a relaxing mani-pedi while drinking tea and talking about life or a recent good read.
An evening of making dinner together with my husband, followed by taking the baby and dogs for a walk. And then closing out the night snuggled on the couch together with a good glass of wine and something new on Netflix or Hulu.

This of course doesn't happen nearly as often as I would like, but it is always a good goal for my days.
